History

Kingsway Training Pty Ltd was founded in May 1999 by its Managing Director  - Mr Wayne King.

Wayne had spent the previous 17 years in the Motor Industry, initially as a cadet salesperson then as a Sales Manager and finally as a General Sales Manager. Wayne achieved the status of Number 1 Salesperson for Nissan Australia QLD in both 1984 and 1985 and was quickly promoted to Sales Manager in 1986. He remained in that role until 1991 when he was promoted to General Sales Manager.

During that period the company turnover increased from $8,000,000.00 per annum to approximately $60,000,000.00 per annum and the staffing levels from 24 to 102.

His Gold Coast based Dealership was consistently No 1 not only in terms of volume sales but also in terms of C.S.I. Wayne sees a direct relationship between the two. The Dealership was awarded Dealer of The Year nationally on no fewer than 3 occasions during the period that he spent as GSM, an achievement that was unprecedented. The Dealership also went on to win the coveted "Time Quality Dealer of the Year Award"

Perhaps the main reason for the success that the Dealership enjoyed was the belief that our most valuable asset was our people and that those people could only perform to their optimum potential when, they understood exactly what their job description was, they were trained to perform that function and most of all they had a sense of ownership. When this is accomplished going the extra yard becomes the norm.

Now his company Kingsway Training takes that training in-house and becomes an integral part of the sales team. The reason that this method of training proves so successful is that the salespeople are continually held accountable to Kingsway.

The reputation of Kingsway Training continues to grow and it now represents a refreshing and extremely hands on alternative for Australia's Retail Sales Industries.
